NIA has been a major part in shaping who I am today as a professional and a person. Having had zero exposure of how the Insurance sector dynamics work, NIA has not only given exposure in terms of curriculum, projects, seminars & conferences etc., but has also instilled great interest and passion for the subject matter because of plethora of knowledge I gained from the vast industry experience of faculty and the phenomenal infrastructure provided here.
Apart from the technical knowledge, there are certain aspects to the overall personality development of a professional. And one of the important skills that one develops at NIA is the people skill. Interacting with the students from various corners of the country with respect to course projects, organizing various student driven conferences, one of which is the flagship event – Insurance Summit, is altogether a different height of exposure.
Currently, I am working as an Insurance Broker with Marsh India and being candid, whatever I have learnt at NIA or a skill that I have sharpened, is definitely giving me an edge over adapting and molding to the industry faster and I will always have a deep gratitude to the institute for the same.
